The weather is (supposed to be) getting milder as we move into autumn here in Virginia. Unfortunately, the highs for this week are still in the 90s, but we’ll get there eventually! I’m just excited that football season is finally here and I can root for my Wahoos, my 49ers and my Redskins as they make their way through the 2013 season. I am also hoping to win at least one of my Fantasy Football games this year, but I won’t bore you with those details. The important thing here is what you eat when you watch the games, right?
My favorite recommendation for football parties this year is this faux-smoked brisket that reminds me a little bit of the famous brisket from Franklin Barbecue in Austin, TX.
