I have always loved to create. I still remember creating dishes with my dad when I was a kid. The balogna bowl was inspiring when I was four and the barbe-cheeser was a huge hit when I was 14. I even wanted to own a restaurant and name it Sandwich King because I believed so deeply in spreading the mayo to the edge of the bread that I wanted the world to share that same sense of sandwich perfection.
Exploring the culinary world and understanding my kitchen became my passion as I started recreating dishes I had at restaurants, sometimes diving into an entire genre or culture or even a single dish (Tom Yum Goong) for up to a year until I could get it right. I decided to start this blog as a way to share my love and appreciation for the kitchen to my friends and family. I hope you enjoy your stay.
What can you expect from Stirring Things Up? Sometimes, you can expect recipes. Sometimes, I will just ramble on about different types of chocolate or why a certain vegetable is good for you. I believe that if you eat well, you will be well, so I try to follow that mantra. I believe in keeping things as pure and simple and classic as possible and I believe in eating local fresh food. However, as I type that, I am drinking a can of Coca-Cola, so I’m not perfect.
